- Founded over twenty years ago, this non-profit group is the best place for parents/teachers/administrators to obtain information and access to leading journals, books and research concerning gifted children.
- They sponsor 3-4 evening meetings each year to provide adults with information for raising and/or teaching gifted children.
- They also sponsor Metro Council, a group for gifted education coordinators and teachers, to facilitate exchange of information among those working in the Saint Louis area.
- SAGE proctors a talent identification program for elementary age students run by the University of Iowa.
- Registration is in early fall; the test is administered in late January.
- SAGE is affiliated with the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) and the Gifted Association of Missouri (GAM).
- Annual dues are $20.

- Statewide group, primarily for educators of gifted children, affiliated with the National Assocaition for Gifted Children.
- The state is divided into regions; residents of Saint Louis city and county are District A.
- GAM is the sponsor of the annual state conference for educators/parents of gifted children, held at Tan-Tar-A the second weekend in November.
- Annual dues are $20.

- College For Kids has two sessions for children completing Kindergarten through Grade 8; one during six Saturday mornings in February and March and another for eight consecutive mornings in early August, both held on the Meramec Campus of SLCC.
- Registration is in December and May; proof of giftedness is required.
- Most class fees are in the $50 range.

Gifted Resource Council (GRC)

- Sponsors enrichment classes for gifted and talented students preschool-Grade 8 at Christian Brothers College High School.
- Two sessions, Fall and Spring, run on six Saturday mornings for $75. GRC also runs summer programming, held in two week increments from 9am-3pm.
- Cost for Summer Academies $400-$600.
- GRC also sponsors Academic Challenge Cup, a school competition held in early March.
- School teams may compete in any or all of three competitions: LinguiSHTIK (language arts), EQUATIONS (math game) and Creative Convention (Creative problem solving Gr. 2-3)
- Lectures on parenting gifted children are available during some of the Learning Lab classes, for $12-$15.
- Membership in GRC starts at $40, but not required for enrollment.
MEGSSS (Mathematics Education for Gifted Secondary School Students)

- This program is an advanced mathematics study, intended for top math students in the area.
- Children are tested in the late spring of fifth grade.
- If accepted in to the program, they attend a summer session after fifth grade, then continue in the fall twice a week 3:30-5:30 pm at Kirkwood High School.
- Parents are responsible for transportation; cost is about $750.
- Nominations can be made by parents; minimal criteria are math scores at the 98th percentile and reading scores at the 95th percentile level.
- Call by February for nomination forms or additional information on the testing dates.
